Privacy
GroupShelf is a direct-sale Mac app with no accounts and no tracking servers of our own. This page explains the only data that leaves your Mac.
License activation
When you activate a license, GroupShelf sends your license key and a device name (your Mac's host name, used to show which devices are active) to Polar, our licensing and payment provider. This is how the 3-device limit is enforced and how you can deactivate a device later. No usage data or window contents are ever transmitted.
Update checks
GroupShelf periodically fetches an update feed (appcast.xml) from this site to see whether a newer version is available. This is a plain request for a static file and carries no personal identifiers.
This website
The site is served as static files. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. To count page views and see which sites visitors come from, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not track individual visitors; we see only aggregate numbers. Visits from the EU and the UK are not included. Purchases are processed by Polar on their own checkout; their privacy policy governs any data you enter there.
