Términos del servicio

Estos términos rigen en su versión en inglés.

Terms of Service

These terms apply to GroupShelf, a Mac app made by Alpharium Inc. (“we”, “us”), and to this website. By downloading or using GroupShelf, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use GroupShelf.

1. Using GroupShelf

You can download GroupShelf from group-shelf.com or install it with Homebrew, and use it for free. For your first 30 days, starting when you first open it, there are no limits. After that, GroupShelf keeps working as the free version, which allows one group of up to 3 tabs.

2. Lifetime license

A lifetime license removes the free version’s limits. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. One license can be active on up to 3 Macs at a time; to move it to another Mac, deactivate one in the customer portal. A license includes all 1.x updates. A license is for your own use: please don’t share, sell or publish your license key. Licenses we give through programs, such as the one for creators, are the same lifetime license.

3. Payment

Purchases are handled by Polar (polar.sh), our payment partner and merchant of record. Polar processes your payment, charges any applicable taxes and sends your receipt, and its terms also apply to the checkout. Prices may change, but a change never affects a license you already bought.

4. Refunds

If GroupShelf isn’t right for you, email us within 14 days of your purchase and we’ll refund the full price, no questions asked. The license stops working once it’s refunded. After 14 days, we refund only where the law requires it, or when you were charged by mistake, for example twice for the same purchase.

5. What you may not do

Please don’t:

  • get around the license checks or the free version’s limits;
  • copy GroupShelf to others or offer it for download elsewhere (point people to group-shelf.com instead);
  • reverse engineer, decompile or modify GroupShelf, except where the law allows it.

6. Updates

GroupShelf checks for updates once a day and asks before installing them, unless you choose to install updates automatically. Updates may change or remove features. GroupShelf includes open-source software, such as Sparkle, which is covered by its own license.

7. Privacy

How GroupShelf and this website handle data is described in our Privacy Policy: https://group-shelf.com/privacy/

8. No warranty

GroupShelf moves and resizes other apps’ windows through macOS accessibility features. Apps and macOS versions behave differently, so we can’t guarantee that GroupShelf works with every app, every setup or every future version of macOS. GroupShelf is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows.

9. Limitation of liability

Except where caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for GroupShelf.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll announce significant changes on this website. A change never reduces what a license you already bought includes, such as the number of Macs or 1.x updates.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute in the first instance. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.

12. Language

These terms are written in English. Where a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
